Project Summary

McAdam undertook the design and project management of a new 3G pitch for Rosario FC to replace the existing grass pitch. The scheme included new 3G pitch, floodlights, dugout area, spectator fence, drainage connections  and site security. The new development helped secure  Rosario as a unique institution in South Belfast with the club’s rich history of representing nearly 100 years of competitive football and sporting achievement.

This facility, in the heart of the Ormeau Road, provides the 1000+ members of Rosario Football Club and a number of other community organisations from South Belfast year round access to a high quality facility to play and train.

Ciara Boyes, the club’s chair, said at the opening, " it is really, really brilliant news for the club. We’ve teams from five-year-olds to senior, we’ve gone from two female teams in September to five now. To be able to train in the evening at our home ground is just brilliant.2
