Project Summary

McAdam are both Architects and Project Managers supporting Radius Housing on their long-term plan to deliver over 1000 new social housing dwellings across Northern Ireland starting from 2016. In this capacity we provide a complete in-house service focused on Project Management, Contract Administration & Specialist Procurement Advice covering all aspects of design and delivery from inception to scheme completion. Our experienced teams ensure the projects and dwellings are always designed and delivered to the highest sustainable standards which includes BRE Code for Sustainable Homes; the latest Life-Times Homes Standards and PSNI Secured by Design Standards. The resultant schemes always provide an adaptable, safe, and secure living environment.

Examples of our completed high-quality projects for Radius include the award-winning regeneration project at Fort Green in Bangor which was Radius’ first mixed tenure development. In addition, we have delivered numerous 20-40 unit regeneration projects which required careful navigation of the local planning policy and sensitive engagement with the local residents and the wider community. Larger projects include the 244 homes at Blacks Gate Belfast, 130 homes at St Patrick’s Barracks in Ballymena and 120 new homes at the Sean Dolan GAC site in Derry. These projects included a full range of bespoke house types woven around carefully landscaped external amenity spaces which encourage social cohesion.
