We are delighted that our Athlone Town Centre Enhancement Project has been shortlisted for the Irish Planning Institute Awards in the Urban Regeneration Category.
This ambitious Public Realm scheme revitalised three key streets in Athlone Town Centre, including the pedestrianisation of Sean Costello Street was delivered on behalf of Westmeath Co Council.
It has helped to revitalise Athlone’s town centre, enhancing biodiversity & connectivity, increasing footfall and creating a welcoming gateway to unlock new potential for this vibrant urban hub.
McAdam provided the Project Management, Civil and Structural Engineering, Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) services, and lead a multi-disciplinary team consultant team including SLR, Wallace Whittle, Sammon, CARLIN Planning Limited, Hoy Dorman, Consarc, SYSTRA, AAB, Gahan and Long Ltd, as well as the capital works delivery team at JOHN CRADDOCK LIMITED.
