Geodelft Environmental integrates with McAdam Design

Since the acquisition of Geodelft Ireland by McAdam Design in September 2006 this Environmental arm of the company has operated as separate entity trading as Geodelft Environmental.

The last 3 years have seen a steady growth in Environmental work with an initial concentration of Private Sector Development Clients evolving into more Public Sector redevelopment and regeneration projects for Clients such as ILEX, DSD and the NI Housing Executive. To maximise opportunities and cross-selling of Architectural, Engineering and Environmental services, on 1st January 2010 Geodelft Environmental became an integral part of McAdam Design with the staff relocating to McAdam Design offices, Belfast.

The full integration of Geodelft into McAdam Design brings many benefits to Clients as well as opportunities for further growth in the Environmental sector. McAdam Design will continue to offer the same Environmental services as Geodelft Environmental i.e:

• Environmental assessments of brownfield development sites
• Environmental due diligence
• Land quality management
• Site remediation strategies
• Water and gas monitoring
• Site clean-up verifications
• Asbestos surveys

However the move will also see the Environmental team having access more technical resources which will add value to projects delivered to existing and future Clients. Looking to future developments waste management and sustainability are viewed as growth areas that the Environmental arm can deliver in conjunction with the wide and extensive portfolio of Clients and Projects which McAdam Design has.
